Fancy Seeing You Here

I’m a scientist, founder, and leader working at the intersection of biomechanics, health, and human performance. My work focuses on understanding how the body moves, adapts, and responds to challenges—and translating those insights into tools, programs, and ideas that help people live healthier, more capable lives.

About Me

I’m the Founder and CEO of Rethink Health, a digital health company developing science-based programs that help people better understand their bodies and take an active role in managing chronic conditions like osteoarthritis. The work builds on research originally developed at Stanford University and reflects my broader goal of translating scientific knowledge into accessible tools that improve real-world health.

I received my PhD in Bioengineering from Stanford University, where my research focused on developing digital tools to enable large-scale biomechanical assessment outside of traditional laboratory settings. During my doctoral work, I created systems that allowed individuals to collect movement data at home using simple video recordings. By extracting biomechanical signals from these recordings, I was able to predict the presence of osteoarthritis and other health-related outcomes from movement patterns.

Since then, my work has expanded beyond traditional research to include the development of new technologies and measurement tools for understanding human performance. I have led interdisciplinary teams working with biomechanics, computer vision, and artificial intelligence to measure human movement at scale and apply those insights to performance optimization, injury prevention, and health.

Across all of my work—whether in research, digital health, or technology development—I am interested in one central question:

How can we better understand the human body and mind, and use that knowledge to help people live stronger, healthier, and more capable lives?

Beyond my scientific work, I am also a certified yoga instructor and science communicator. I care deeply about helping people reconnect with their bodies and develop a more informed, confident relationship with movement and health. Through teaching, writing, and conversation, I aim to make complex ideas about the body and health more accessible and empowering.

At its core, my work is about bridging disciplines—bringing together biomechanics, behavioral science, technology, and lived human experience to better understand what it means to move, adapt, and thrive.

Outside of my work, I enjoy yoga, hiking, travel, and creative projects that blend science, art, and reflection. I believe some of the most meaningful insights about health and performance emerge not only from research but also from connecting to our own experiences and the world around us.
